If you are drawn to water...

you might want to check out Rivers of the World, a non-profit Christian outreach ministry that targets river basin areas around the globe e.g. Belize, Brazil, Honduras, Congo and Vietnam.

Projects often undertaken with villagers include:

  • Church planting, construction evangelism, and Bible distribution
  • Medical Clinic Construction
  • Medical and Dental Teams
  • Vacation Bible School
  • Delivery of school supplies
  • House Construction
  • Water systems in remote mountain villages

The goal is to serve the people living in these river basin areas as determined by the people themselves who live in these areas. They are asked what are their greatest challenges and ROW helps them overcome the challenges whether physical or spiritual.

Reid Memorial makes educational packets for children each year that are shipped to and distributed where needed by ROW. You'll see worship bulletin or newsletter announcements from time to time to let you know when you can help. Contact Reid Memorial member Fay Clymer for more information.

If you want more hands-on experience with this terrific outreach ministry opportunity, explore volunteering with ROW.
