Middle School Dolce Voce

Dolce Voce is open to all middle-school-age members of Reid Memorial and their friends. Rehearsals take place Sundays 4-5 p.m., Music Suite Choir Room. The choir sings for worship about once a month during the school year, as well as for special services such as the Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan, and the Advent and Spring Musicals.

Young Women's Ensemble

This group leads our congregation in worship through scripture-based worship songs at the opening of Sunday morning worship. Open to young women in grades 9-12. Meets Sundays, 9-9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Please bring your study Bible with you.

Young Men's Percussion Ensemble

Rhythm is king in the realm of music. We continue to build on past experience with timpani and suspended cymbal. Plans call for exploring more rhthmically-complex music. There is no limit to how far this ministry of music can go — from an advanced group of several types of pitched and unpitched percussion, to a large percussion ensemble. Open to young men in grades 9-12. No experience required. If you can count to four, we can train you to do the rest.

  Members of both groups are required to be consistent in their attendance.

  Rehearsal day and time depends on a consensus of team members.

Instrumentalists

Reid Memorial is fortunate to have members of all ages who play various woodwind, brass, percussion and string instruments. Instrumental music greatly enriches our worship, and offers many who may be shy about singing an avenue for musical expression. Ensembles meet as the need arises, and play for special worship services during Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter.
