Leader: Dana Cook

Presbyterian Women

Statement of Purpose

Presbyterian Women presents the perfect opportunity to be involved in small, intimate groups. Groups (or "circles") meet for Bible study, fellowship and mutual support. Circle meetings are the root of Presbyterian Women service projects. Plug in to Presbyhterian Women!

Circle No. 5 (Presbyterian Women Supporting Women – PWSW)

Women's ministryThis circle meets the third Thursday of each month, 6:30-8 p.m., September through May, 6:30-8 p.m. Light refreshments and fellowship begin the evening. Beginning September 2012, Into The Word by Ann Graham Lotz is our study book. Each participant is responsible for purchasing her own book. We share personal needs, and prayer requests are monitored to see what God is doing in our lives. During the summer, we gather monthly at different restaurants around town and enjoy lively conversation! Contact Cheryl Wilson (706) 868-1663 to connect. Ladies of all ages are welcome.

Circle No. 6 (Suzanne Morris Baker circle)

This circle meets in Fellowship Hall at Reid Memorial the third Monday of the month, 10 a.m. Currently, we are studying Dispatches to God's Household from 2012–13 Horizons Bible Study, author Nancy Benson-Nicol. The study is designed to lead us to discover, through the New Testament epistles, God's call to embracing diversity in God's community, to accepting one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. Cost for the book is $8. New members, all ages, are welcome. The Joy Gift Dinner and installation of officers is in December. An offering is collected for various projects sponsored by Presbyterian Women and the church. Call Maureen (706) 733-6139 and tell her you want to visit!

Howington Bible Study

It begins with a slow buzz, then the intensity of the buzz grows as one by one, ladies start gathering. Before you know it, the room is ablaze with laughter, sharing, and the excitement of everyone having gathered for sharing stories, Bible Study and prayer. Experience the buzzzz! Call (706) 733-2312 to connect.

It is widely-recognized as Augusta's most invigorating, inspiring and motivating women's gatherings. Do not miss the adult ministry opportunity.
