Nursery
A well-staffed and well-maintained church nursery is available for children aged three and under for most church ministry events. Our nursery workers are experienced staff members who provide nurturing care for your child. Also, consider volunteering for our children's ministry through the nursery!
- Infants through ten months*
- Young toddlers (10-17 months)
- Older toddlers (17-24 months)
- Threes and fours
*Ages by Sept. 1.
Where to find your child's nursery room
The main nursery area is on the lower level of the children's wing of the Christian Education Building. Find Fellowship Hall and then follow the signs! The Howington Nursery (Room 224) is on the second floor of the Christian Education Building.

Check-in process
Your child’s safety is important to us.
- Use the nursery sign-in clipboard upon arrival.
- Fill out the Childcare Registration Form if it is your first visit.
- Present your child at the classroom door for the nursery worker to receive your child.
- Please refrain from entering the nursery room when possible. It can upset children to see parents coming and going.
Silent pagers are available in the infant and young toddler rooms. Please ask nursery personnel for instructions.
Check-out process
Children are released to only those individuals listed on the check-in sheet. Please respect our nursery workers by picking up children promptly.
What to bring
Please include the following items in your child’s bag, clearly labeled with your child's name.
A change of clothes
- Several disposable diapers
- Bottle or sippy cup
- Pacifier
What not to bring
Please do not include the following items in your child’s bag.
- Personal toys from home unless it is your child’s favorite security toy
- Medicine
- Gum or candy
- Keys, wallet or any other personal items
Illness policy
Please do not bring your child to the nursery if:
- Fever has occurred in the past 24 hours
- Vomiting or experiencing diarrhea
- Runny nasal discharge
- Persistent cough
- Conjunctivitis a.k.a. pink eye
- Sore throat
- Rash/Skin infection
Here's a useful saying to remember, "When in doubt, please keep them out!" Nursery workers do not administer medications. If a child becomes ill or unusually difficult to comfort, we will contact you as quickly as possible.
Should your child develop symptoms of infectious disease e.g. measles, mumps or chicken pox after being in the nursery, please contact our director of Christian education (706) 733-2275 so other parents can be notified of their child’s possible exposure.
