The doctrine of creation, if it is to be believed and enacted, puts the church at the forefront of artistic activity. The ministry of music at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church embraces this notion, and strives to draw worshippers closer to God by creating works of beauty that offer an earthly reflection of God’s heavenly kingdom. This philosophy is not limited to worship services alone: we believe public performances of fine music are an important part of our ministry to the Augusta community.
2013-14 Reid Arts presents
Thursday, March 27, 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 27, 7:30 p.m., sanctuary
The final concert in the 2013-2014 season of Reid Arts will be a performance by Augusta’s newest chamber music ensemble – Trio d’Esprit. The group’s members include Jonathan Aceto, violin; Ruth Berry, ‘cello; and Carol Cook, piano. They will perform music by Mozart, Schubert, and Piazzolla, including the famous Grand Tango. This won’t be a dainty evening. The concert is open to the public without charge. A free-will offering will be accepted, with proceeds going toward the presentation of future concerts and events. Join us for an evening of wonderful music for piano trio, and bring a friend with you!
REID ARTS is an outreach program of the Ministry of Music at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, and is supported entirely by contributions made to the Reid Arts Fund. We offer free performances to the public as a means of opening our doors to the community, and believe the presentation of fine music can offer the world an earthly reflection of the beauty of God’s heavenly kingdom. We are grateful to all who generously support this area of ministry
